Attorney Greenspan's letter of Aug 11, 2008
At tonight's Select Board meeting, I committed to posting Attorney Greenspan's letter of August 8, 2008 on this blog. After I got home, I found that I did not have an electronic file copy of the letter. I have scanned the letter with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) software and converted it to html. This process resulted in loss of some of the formatting but the text is as presented to the board. You can read the letter here. This letter was given to the press tonight and earlier in executive session, the Board voted to waive any privilege for the document.
I look forward to getting word from the judge on this matter. The sooner the better. We need to move forward!
ReplyDeleteThis letter does little to support the action of the three Select Board members. It is substatially supportive of Gagne's position. Perhaps that's why there's virtually no comment by Trimble loyalists.
ReplyDeleteI quote from Greenspan's letter,"Section 4.4 of the Final Charter states that an executive administrator shall be appointed by the select board for terms not to exceed three years. The automatic or self renewal clause contract could be in violation of the Town Charter."
ReplyDeleteThose words are the position taken by the SB.
It comes down to is there good cause to replace Gagne? And I hardly believe these contract clauses are the downfall of western civilization as the three stooges would have you believe. Even in Diane's letter to Lara Stone states our taxes are too low and they will need to be increased soon.
ReplyDeleteThey sure aren't helping Dartmouth any, and they won't at any time soon, either, with the money it is costing Dartmouth to extricate itself from the mess a handful of individuals put us in.
ReplyDeleteAnon 11:52 there was much cheaper way, but it fell on deaf ears. That's what happens when your blinded by an agenda.
ReplyDeleteWhat way? What agenda?
