This blog has become so one sided, much like our media in thi country. I could post all kinds of clever parities and videos about the illustrious liberal congress as well but I don't have access. Bill, you just lost another counterpoint reader. Soon you will be blogging for a bunch of koolaid drinkers. One who claims to love respectful discussion, you resort to this petty stuff.
I couldn't agree more about the media. Rush all day long, Savage and the whole right wing talk machine, then it's Beck, O'Reilly and Hannity all night. Completely over the top, all of them.
This Yes-You-Can and No-You-Can't stuff is just stupid.
I believe Anon 1:02's point is that you're no longer the balanced purveyor of information you were when you started this blog.
That's certainly your perogative, as this is your blog. But to some, it's disappointing.
Mr. Trimble you mention Rush, Savage, Beck, Hannity and O'Reilly who are all hosts of opinion based programs. These men do not pretend to be unbiased hard news reporters.
I can mention several media outlets who have schilled the liberal agenda for years. These include CNN, MSNBC, NewsWeek,Time, The Washington Post and The New York Times. Should I go on?
The liberal agenda is also promoted heavily in the public school system.
The only reason conservatism rules the radio is because progressive radio proves to be unpopular. As seen with Air American going bankrupt.
Will you soon be blogging in support of the fairness doctrine?
I just love Rush Limbaugh and the other Wackos who appear on talk radio, Faux News, etc.
Limbaugh has singlehandedly destroyed the Republican party far more completely than the Liberal media or the Democrats could have.

You are never going to get unbiased media when almost every source is owned by a huge corporation who spends huge sums of money lobbying and donating to political parties and candidates. You have to pick your information carefully and try to find reliable sources like public TV and radio. These also tend to be liberal but usually include both sides of the issue in a non-combative way.
As far as Bill's national/state political views, we are all entitled to our opinions. The only thing that matters to me is when it comes to Dartmouth's affairs, Bill has been and continues to be a fiscal conservative.
James, I think you have a mental problem. You better get that checked out. It should be much easier now that there is health care reform. If your lucky,maybe you will get Nancy Pelosi to evaluate you. She obviously wants to practice medicine these days.
