Larry Fox has written to the Finance Committee Chair that he will be unable to continue his service on the committee due to increasing commitments required by his work. Larry has previously served as chairman of the Finance Committee He has been a consistent...

What is more interesting is who Mayor Sharek is going to appoint. Will he appoint someone with experience or an interest in helping thew Town? Or, will he appoint someone from the Law School or Voke or from his mayoral committee?
That is both a loss to the Finance Committee and to the town. He truly had the best interests of all of us in mind.
I will miss Larry Fox. I can recall several years ago when Larry got up at town meeting and talked about how Dartmouth was well on the way to fiscal crisis and the time to act was NOW. Well, Larry was right. Dartmouth should not fool itself with one year overrides that only prolong the inevitable. We need to make some BIG changes in how we run our town. It won't be easy folks.
Larry grumbled.
