Bill: The Finance Comm will have an RFT for the Police Department. RFT is a Reserve Fund Transfer. These are used for emergency/unexpected expenses not included in a department's original budget.

I received this request after the posting of the meeting agenda.

Why is the police department asking for RFT transfer? Not too many years ago, yhe town voters voted an override allowing the police aditional monies. Is this override money still part of the police department budget??
