A word on how to read this. I have listed those up for reappointment and seeking appointment. If I listed vacancies, the total number of positions up for appointment equals the number up for reappointment plus the number of vacancies. Foe example the Conservation Commission has two seeking reappointment and one vacancy, so there are three appointments available.

We need a smarter and more cost effective attorney. Fire Savastano please or at least analyze his work, outcomes and hours.
We need a firm not just Mr. Savastano, I agree. Please look into the attorney situation Bill. Plus he is egotistical.
At Town Meeting he is always clueless!!!!!!
unfortunatly at town meeting ,he's in good company.
I think you guys are running out of people and dept's to harp on. Don't have any real issues? be thankful.
To July 19 anon --
Don't worry: this crowd will never run out of complaints.
Let's see we can offer to serve the town on any number of boards that require our help. Or we can bitch some more.
Where are we?
Oh yeah, Dartmouth.
Let's bitch some more.
Who else can we ask Bill to run down for us?
Of course! You are absolutely right! There is nothing to bitch about in Dartmouth. Everything is just peachy. We should keep everyone who has gotten us into this mess, give them a raise, or re-elect them. Keep spending the way we have been and definitely keep the status quo. That ought to fix everything. Oh, but I'm forgetting, there's nothing to bitch about.
Given the usual level of discourse on this blog, I propose that the name of the blog be changed to "The Dartmouth Bitching Post." What say ye?
There's plenty of bitching on Curt Brown's blog too! Now that everyone has had a chance to vent...why not have some constructive discussion? I find this blog very informative. It would be nice to have some of this information on the town website. After all, vacancies & appts are public information. Thanks for the blog, Bill.
I find this blog very informative too - and commend Bill for keeping up with it. However the moaning and complaining gets old. Here's a thread looking to identify opportunities for people to help and volunteer for the benefit of their town. Let's try and keep this one on track.
Perhaps the non-reappointment of Richard Medeiros to the Board of Public Works had something to do with them opening the privatization bids BEFORE saying how much it would cost the town to pick up trash. It was more like an episode of "Let's Make A Deal" than a fair bidding process.
If what Monty says is true, perhaps people will start to understand that their actions have consequences.
Bill, Could you give a good description of what is involved with being a Community Preservation Committee member. Diane Gilbert said they have gone two members short for two years now at the Select Board meeting last night.
Ronald - You can find some info here:
www.communitypreservation.org
Also, you could contact Buddy Baker-Smith who leads that effort for our town.
