What is a guess about the FY09 state of money and problems?
Anybody,
Please verify that I was not hallucinating while watching the Select Board meeting tonight. Did Bob Carney actually tell the Trio Restaraunt owner to remember what he looked like so that he wouldn't have to wait in line there? Did Bob Carney then stick his proverbial foot in his proverbial mouth again later when he admitted not looking at this blog before he misinformed the public by accussing Bill of authoring a post on it?
I heard the same thing! Bob Carney is ready to defend someone BEFORE he even looks at the blog himself. Of course, Bob just got on board with email, not long ago.
Others have accused Bill of posts that he did not write. Bill said before, he tries to let people speak their mind and does not delete posts unless they are an outright attack on someone. It might be nice if Bob did some research BEFORE he opened his mouth and put his foot into it.
Talk about misinformation!!! Bob Carney made a total fool of himself tonight. He needs to stick with "saving the Pasky".
To Bob Carney, If you had taken the time to actually read the blog before you criticized a fellow SB member you would have seen that the comments were made anonymously and they were only questions asked, not accusations. If you have the computer skills necessary to find this blog, the following are the actual posts you were so badly mistaken about.

Bill, Someone who works in town hall told me that Park Board members get their beach stickers for free. Is this true and if so, do the tax collectors have to pay their taxes?

Do you think the executive administrator does, too? It would be interesting to find out.

I used to think Bob Carney looked foolish when he appeared to be sleeping at Select Board meetings. Now that I have heard him in action, my advice to him would be go back to sleep.
Thank you Bill. This blog gives more information about Dartmouth than our town website. I am talking about YOUR posts. I realize that people can ,and do, write their opinions on the issues.
I enjoy knowing the agenda of Select Board meetings beforehand. That's something that could be on the website. Anyway, I get a lot of information from your posts. Thanks.I guess some don't like freedom of speech.
How ironic. A SB member accuses another SB member of giving the public misinformation while he himself is giving the public misinformation at a televised SB meeting. Since MR. Carney chose to make it a public accusation, I think he owes Mr. Trimble a public apology.
I have not written here that Mr Gagne was getting beach stickers for free. However, I am not offended that Mr. Carney would question something written here. The whole point of having discussion here is that sunshine is the best disinfectant. If I or someone else here makes an assertion that is not factual, then they should be willing to back it up with facts and documentation if necessary.
