How to judge Tuesday results early

hoyapaul over at Blue Mass Group has done an interesting town by town analysis in this post in order to be able to judge the early Senate race results on Tuesday. Be interesting to see how his predictions work out against the actual results.

Get out and vote on Tuesday.

I am a liberal-leaning voter (registered independent) who has decided to vote for Brown. Not because I support his policy positions. Instead, I want to send Obama and the rest of the Democratic party a message. If Obama wants to be the next great conservative president, as his 1st year suggests, then I figured I would help him out by giving the senate another republican that it so desperately needs.

I am a Democrat. I intend to vote for Martha Coakley. Here's a far simplet way to determine the race: If Brown is even within 5% in Dartmouth, Fairhaven, or Acushnet, he wins.

Brown Justifies Denying 9/11 Rescue Workers Aid: ‘We Had To Take Care Of Our Own Priorities First.’ During the same month Brown was pushing a bill to appropriate a tax-subsidized bond to build a golf course in Norfolk, a city in his district. “Priorities,” indeed

Go MARTHA!!

Seven reasons why Martha should not be senator

The Big Dig tunnel collapse (shameless corruption and cronyism of the very worst kind) ?

Coakley's shady deal with a notorious pedophile (John Geoghan)?

The financial disclosure "mistake" in which Martha Coakley failed to list $200,000 to $250,000 in assets on her financial disclosure forms for the Senate race ?

Her failure in the Henry Louis Gates arrest in Cambridge last July?

The Louise Woodward case?

The Menino ?emailgate? affair

Former Democratic Bristol County state rep wind turbine fiasco leaving Bristol County residents out millions ?

This doesn't count Martha Coakley's involvement in Fells Acres Day Care Case makes her unfit to replace Ted Kennedy as senator from Massachusetts

This is why Brown didn't get my vote.He has a problem with the public option..that's fine but why then did he vote to make it mandatory for all Mass residents to have health insurance? Better yet if they don't he doesn't have a problem penalizing them $250 each individual. This is basically a tax. I also have a problem with him not wanting to impose more regulation on the banks. He also voted against helping out 9/11 recovery workers. On October 17th, 2001, Brown voted against a bill that would authorize “leaves of absence for certain Red Cross employees participating in Red Cross emergencies.” The bill gave 15 days of paid leave each year to state workers called up by the Red Cross to respond to disasters. At the time, state workers called for such emergencies were required to use sick and vacation days.
He supported $200K reduction to blind job program.
Opposed $900K for disability & mentoring aid. He voted against the free breakfast program for school children who are eligable next thing you know he's going to say what the heck they shouldn't get free luch either.Martha Coakley got my vote.

Repuglicans have an 18th century view of the world that does not serve 21st century America well at all. If it were up to them we would all be subservient to land owners and robber barons. "But give us cigarettes and guns and some hooch and we will go to the voting booths and scrawl our X on any moron willing to speak in one syllable words!"

Congratulations! What a night!

Frank and Kerry are you paying attention?

Poor Kerry looked so sad at Coakley's concession speach. The Obama magic did'nt translate to votes for Coakley, not a big surprise after this past November's elections. But his ego knows no bounds....

James, Scrawling an X relates to signing documents for illiterate people. You are clearly the illiterate one as BALLOTS are not signed.

Bye bye James. You lost live with it.

So James by your logic the 20% of registered Democrats that voted for Brown also have an 18th century view of the world? This is the same state that was so progressive by voting for Deval and Obama in a big way? Now we're all ludites?
That's the problem with your logic James - it is not logical.
COngratulations Brown - what a great day to be an American!

Bye James, Maybe Marcia or Martha Coakley has a job for you at the AG's Office.. HAHAHAHHA

Cigarettes, guns and hooch!!!!
YES, YES and YES!!!!!!!

Get government off my back, they have proven beyond any doubt that they have no right to tell me what is best for me.

The last thing I need is more government in my life. Just leave me alone. I would like to see a Congress that is so divided that it can accomplish nothing because every time something is done, you can bet it will either take away another one of my freedoms or take away more of my money. Please just do nothing. I will be much better off.

Funny these conservatives dont have a problem with BIG CORPORATIONS...just big government

Anonymous said...

Funny, you seem to think there is a difference between the two.

Given the Supreme Court decision yesterday, I think that there will soon be no difference between them. Big government (think defense, pharmaceutical and energy corporations) will be bought by big business. We, the taxpayers, will pay the bills.
If tobacco companies, who spend billions on advertising, could do so for Congressional candidates that would do their bidding, would we know anything about the risks of tobacco use?
