It seems odd that this meeting is happening after budget decided upon?

Spare me big time, now the Dartmouth Parent email, written by ?, includes an essay by Kevin Lee on helping kids through economic uncertainty and anxiety (after an almost 2 year recession, late in coming). If this isn't meant to brainwash parents, I don't know what is...Subliminal message, "Help us keep Lee's job, he is important." The Dartmouth Parents are run and edited by whom? Who votes on their decisions, who is the governing body representing the parents and students? Anyone know? Bill?

Unbelievable, how do nonparents get a copy of this? Maybe we should ask Lara who writes and decides the content on Dart Parents emails. Surely all parents don't agree with their platform, whatever that may be.

The school department budget can only be voted on the school committee, not the select board. Town Meeting then has to approve the budget. Since the budget is MNSS, is must be approved as is.

Great Question. Who writes and decides the content of the Dartmouth Parents Group????

Help us, here, Lara. Who writes it and who decides the content?

Didn't this group start with the first override of $8.5 million that was Ms. Stone's pet project? You can be sure the Dartmouth Parent email is not an unbiased document.

Maybe Lara can provide Bill with a copy so he can post it for all of us to read.

Dartmouth Parents Group. If I remember correctly the host of characters included Liz Olimpio, Ricki Paiva, Lara Stone, Doug Roscoe, Greg Jones, and the other usual suspects. You can bet the content of anything they send out is highly questionable if past propaganda is any indication. Dartmouth parents beware!!!

Make that, Dartmouth RESIDENTS beware!

I think the names mentioned equate to OVERRIDE.

WHY!...who cares about who is for the OVER RIDE...the VOTERS have the final SAY not a single group...come people WAKE up!

The absolute best option would be a prop 2 1/2 underride. Even in these economic hard times it has been proven that government spends way too much. Teachers are refusing $600k grants so you know they don't need more money. Grant writers don't write grants so they can be eliminated. The Youth Advocate puts pictures of naked kids linked to the town website, so he can be eliminated. This is just a start. It would be simple to reduce the increase in taxes each year by having an underride.

Voters have the final say, but groups influence voters. How do you say that wouldn't be accurate to state?

I think Liz Olimpio does the content on Dartmouth Parents, but not sure. Greg Jones doesn't. Dartmouth Parents isn't a real group because it doesn't hold meetings or have elected leaders, workers.

But it does send out mailings/emails. I would say that qualifies as being a group.
