What's next cans of air!

My father-in-law told a story about being charged for a cup of water in Nevada many years ago. He was flabbergasted to be asked to PAY for water. The woman at the roadside stand was apologetic and said the charge was for the cup, not the water.

Now it seems we are accustomed to paying for water in bottles.
I don't. It still hurts my feelings to pay for the most plentiful substance on the planet.
Ryan's Take blog has a post about...

...two states, New York and Illinois, that have banned bottled water purchases. Makes sense to me. What do you think?

Bottled water is just another example of how lazy people have become. You can buy reusable water containers and just fill them up yourself, but that takes more work. If you want filtered water, just buy a filter system for your faucet or a pitcher that filters your tap water. But that takes more work.
The other issue I have is the new pre-made meal thing for kids. Breakfast and lunch in a box filled with chemicals. This stuff is all junk. How long does it take to pour your child a bowl of some good cereal (not the sugary stuff) or pack a nutritional lunch? A homemade sandwich with some fruit or veggies thrown in is better than any pre-made item. You can do it the night before if you're pressed for time in the a.m.

Disposable, easy, quick. That is what we are teaching our children.

I think that once they are done filling all the wetlands that is Lincoln Park(the fill is already staged at the property), the neighbors should buy a bottling machine. They could at least make a few bucks from the displaced water that is going to end up flooding their properties.

MAKE LINCOLN PARK A PARK, and make reusable water containers that don't dent, break, leak and can go in dishwasher? OH for you anti-modern folks though, dishwashers should be banned too even if we use earth friendly dish deterg.

Yes and once we get rid of the dishwashers we should look to those clothes washers and dryers too, my great aunt used to walk down to the river and bang her clothes on a rock. Damn humans keep trying to improve their lots.

Are you saying that the Lincoln Park development is going to improve our lot?

That's not going to improve it, nor will the proposed Reed Rd. 40R project if it ever gets approved. It's only in its infancy stage of the procedures to be gotten through, but if it ever does get developed, there goes more of North Dartmouth pillaged for gain of - - certainly not the Dartmouth community.
