The state database on all things library can be found at this link. Mr Lynam has distilled some of the data into a comparison file which you can find hereMS Excel format. The headings on Mr. Lynam's report are somewhat cryptic. Look at the other sheets ...
... for definitions to decipher the headers.
I have been posting less frequently lately because I am buried at work. I will have a series of posts soon laying out the saga of the perpetual contracts given to some town employees.

Director earns too much. we are more like the communities listed in the $60-70,000 range. $85,000 is what you get in a pricey community near Boston. This defies logic and the trustees are ewither a bunch of rich clueless people or just clueless people. The arrogance over this issue continues. These people need to serve the public and not the Director, we need a new kind of leader on the library board. Someone who can analyze and scrutinize while providing excellent services. If Meideiros and her chummy Sec. and Assistant made less the same work would be done, no difference in quality. I'd like to see these people actually work 100% effort. I've been disappointed with every citizen/public discussion with these higher ups. They are dismissive and rude on top of it. Know it alls.
So much to be concerned about with gagne, contracts, lee. Libraries will waste public dollars. Buy books not raises.
Seems there isn't much interest in the library financial picture.
