TIF agreements de-certified

The state Economic Assistance Coordinating Council has notified American Medical Instruments and A&R Machining that the Economic Assistance Coordinating Council recommends decertification of the Tax Incentive Financing (TIF) agreements with the companies. The de-certification would result in the revocation of the TIF. The businesses had until January 30th to appeal the decision.

Bill, You got scooped by Curt Brown on a story about the select board hiring an interim executive secretary. He posted on his blog that Ed Iacaponi will be doing the job until the search concludes. It makes sense to me. Having Ed do it may save money and provide some continuity until the process is complete. So much for the conspiracy theorists.

we'll see..when a guy from Pennsylvania comes in and takes control of Dartmouth..I wonder who he's affiliated with?

Actually, I lived in New York before coming to Dartmouth and North Carolina before that and Virginia and California and Washington state and California and Virginia and then Pennsylvania. I last lived in PA in 1978.

Whoa, Bill lived in all those places? That explains it. He must be a covert agent in a plot to overthrow the government. Dartmouth is probably his test town before he takes over the state and then the nation, after which he will make his play against Putin and the Russian empire. Once the Soviets fall, the rest of the world will be easy. Bill, will you still remember me when you rule the world?

I recall a man boasting to me about having worked in a dozen different states. His point was that he was well-travelled and had the benefit of many diverse experiences. The guy was in his forties. It left me thinking he couldn't hold a job.

Not long after our conversation, he moved away.

Bill worked in many states because he was an engineer who built power plants all over the country. After the plant was up and running, he went to the next site.

I see. So anyone who chooses to broaden their horizons must be a loser. Makes sense. What about the people who have to continue to relocate for their company because they are considered to be so valuable? What about those in the military service? I guess they are losers too.
