Info on blue recycle bins

I got this email from Michelle at the DPW about blue recycling bins

Good Morning Mr. Trimble:

Thank you for the cc.
Just a note on the blue bins, the DPW does not charge for replacement bins...we trade out the broken bins when our customers bring them back. Also, new residents are not charged for the first two bins. We do charge for additional bins.

Thanks again for your PR work with cleanup day, much appreciated,
Michelle D.

Some residents had asked about the policy on giving out bins and so here it is.

With the amount we pay for those bad orange bags that double the plastic in the earth, we need to pay for bins too. Seems a bit much. If we have to pay, then we should get large cans like they have in other communities. Trash everywhere problem partially stems from open air, shallow recycle bins.

There's apparently no end to how ugly some people can get.

The election's almost over, so now let's go after someone or something else. I can't see anything in Michelle's email or Bill's blog to necessitate the above posting, but I guess some people just have to let it all out.
