Here is the Standard Times article about the positions our local state reps have taken on taxes and reform.
I agree with Representative Quinn that the sales tax is not the right answer. He voted...
...against raising it. I also agree with his stand on reforms. We part company on the gas tax.
What are your thoughts about taxes and reform in the Commonwealth?

Reform would be nice, but I don't see it coming from Beacon Hill or the governor's office. DePat may make hit all the right sound bytes on utube, but I don't believe a syllable. He could start by giving all his new hire cronies their pink slips, then I might start believing. Might.
As I said a few posts ago. it is really up to us, the public. If we don't contact our reps and let them know that we want reform, we will not get reform. You have to support someone's ideas or not participate. The governor has made some good suggestions and some not so good. Same for the House leadership. Call or email and let them know what is important to you. General Court contacts here and here.Governor contact info here You may be surprised by the response that you receive.
Since there is so much going on in government and the country is in turmoil, I think it is very important to contact all our reps. Bill do you think you could post the email & mailing info for state & federal contacts? May I suggest doing it as a link like you did for town hall etc. so people can always reference it without having to go through old posts to find the information.
