Blue Mass Group blog has a post about Democracy Now's report on secretive prisons in Illinois and Indiana. Not sure what the whole story is but the government needs to do things in the light of day. Especially when it comes to locking people up in prisons. This practice seems much more abusive to our rights ...
... than the tax issues which drew so much coverage lately.

I for one am very happy that the Bush administration did everything they could to prevent another attack on this country. You will see if we leave it up to the liberals, we will have another attack sooner than later.
Among the things that were done by the Bush administration were torture and mistreatment of prisoners, indefinite imprisonment of American citizens without trial, and wiretapping members of the US Congress Some, if not all of these actions, are against the law, our Constitution, and common human decency.
As Ben Franklin said, Those who would give up essential liberty to purchase a little temporary safety deserve neither liberty nor safety.
Ray Medeiros- thanks Bill, my thoughts exactely. As for the previous post speaking about bush preventing another attack, i wonder if that person realizes the "liberals" didnt allow an attck on this country since 1993 WTC bombing. Bush kept us safe for 7 years as they say..well so did the "liberals"(BILL CLINTON) The plain ignorance of the previous administration about the attcks was deplorable. Bush was warned in his PDB(presidential Daily Briefings) from the moment he took office..9 months later it happened. It could have been avoided if he took the correct steps.
Let's not forget about the chance that slick willie had to kill Osama Bin Laden. Selective amnesia I guess.
Bill, how about talking to some of the families of 9/11 and see what they think about your position. People who are unaffected feel they are insulated from the violence. If Obama had the chance he would invite Bin laden to dinner.
Oh, I forgot. Take that last comment back. You guys think that the Bush Administration staged the 9/11 attacks. In fact, I think there was a witness that saw Bush in the WTC garage in 1993.
I can't wait to see the "love in" between Obama, Chavez and Ahmadinejad and maybe Raul Castro. Socialism is around the corner. You won't have any liberties then.
So if we can blame Clinton for 9/11 can we blame Bush #1 for the 1993 bombing? As for Clinton being able to kill Bin Laden..at least he was in Afghanistan during his presidency. Bush #2 went to Iraq instead of finishing what Clinton started.
