The answer my friend,
is you don't have the dough.
So you're gonna have to tell,
the teachers no.

How many times must an override fail,
before some people understand.
And how many times will we have a deficit,
before people start to plan for it.
The answer my friend, is blowin in the wind.
The answer is blowin in the wind.
G'night all

Gee, what a nice group of people post here. Not that I'm surprised given what I read about in the papers on Dartmouth.

I think that considering the behavior of the pro-override group in the past, we can cut a little slack here. Those pro-override people were caught vandalizing and screaming at elderly folks among many other things. Those are the kinds of things that create ill-will and take some time for people to put behind them.

yeah that's it the pro-override people. i get it now. makes perfect sense. those guys. so now its our turn. cool.

I agree with the songwriter. The town, state and nation are in crisis and the teacher's union won't budge. They don't feel the pain of the economy and refuse to recognize what the rest of the people are going through. Things like job loss and a 30% loss in their 401K's. I also find it funny how the civility police are never there when it comes to the really nasty things posted about people like Bill and Diane. They love to resort to viscious attacks, then cry like babies at the slightest hint of insensitivity from the other side. Just like the ones that love to say they are insulted at Town Meetings.
