Ms. Gilbert to run for re-election

Curt Brown has news on his S-T blog that Diane Gilbert will seek re-election to the Select Board in April. I'm glad to hear it. Ms. Gilbert has been a great help to me ...

..personally and is a great asset to the town on the Select Board.

Thank you, thank you!

I'm glad Diane will continue on the board. We need to get to the bottom of this contract fiasco! Thanks Diane. I know it isn't easy!

She'll get trounced. I have never heard such raw negative emotion expressed about an elected official as I have about Diane Gilbert. Her personality is such that she alienates people who disagree with her.

I rather think some of those people who disagree with her don't like to hear the truth, don't like to hear another side of the story, and don't like their power or sphere of influence threatened.

When you've built up a base of same old, keep the status quo, don't want to loose any of my "influence" or status in the community people in town, it's tough to be challenged and opposed. These people just aren't used to it.

Get used to it. There's three good people on the Board now and they're gonna shake the apple tree and overturn the cart: Joe, Diane, and Bill.

Diane Gilbert is totally ineffective and spiteful. Dartmouth needs change alright, a change from Diane Gilbert!

Thank you Diane. Very happy to hear you will be running again. You have my vote as well as many others.

She will lose resoundingly. It will send a message to Trimle and Michaud when they are due for re-election.

She'll be first to feel the wrath of the Miller storm comming soon.
It won't be over once Diane is gone either

Miller has been exposed and cannot win. The fact that he is the only candidate that can be convinced to run against Gilbert is pretty telling. The old boy network is finished in Dartmouth. Carney will be history in April also. I heard that either Walker or Gracie will be running against him. Walker has been saying that he will not let Carney run unopposed.

Walker cannot and will not win an election.

Mickey Mouse could beat Bob Carney by 1000 votes. Walker would beat him by many more.

I would vote for Mickey Mouse over Walker and Gilbert in a hearbeat!

Anon 8:22 - what makes you think Miller will be the only candidate to unseat Ms Gilbert. Paper's are only available starting this morning. Ms Gilbert announced yesterday that she's changed her mind and will run again and you've already figured out the playing field? Wow.

Please if anyone beleived that Gilbert wasn't running again they were living in a dream world! It was all part of Diane's plan to lull us into a sense of false security. All typical Diane manipulation.

Thanks for re-running Diane. The town needs more HONEST, INTELLIGENT, THINKERS who are willing to do whatever it takes to make this town a better place during these trying times we've found ourselves in.
To those who want to go back to the good old boys club haven't come to the reality that is; THEY GOT US HERE, THEY'RE NOT THE ONES TO GET US OUT. The good old boys network was a failure both economically and ethically.
Ms. Gilbert is in the best interest of the town.

GOOD LUCK DIANE

Anonymous 12:04, can you tell us just why she would want to do that? What's her interest in manipulating people? What's she got to gain?

Thank you Diane. You have really opened my eyes to what has been gong on in this town.
Miller is running against you! You must be kidding me! Miller ran the town for 20 years. He's responsible for those never ending contracts that expose our town to potential lawsuits. If Miller runs, I have some questions for him. He needs to come out from behind Raposo and Medeiros jr.

Diane likes to keep people guessing, says so herself. Doesn't like to be "predictable" likes to "shake things up". These are all descriptions she has said of herself. People like this take pleasure in surprising people and will do it even if it makes no sense.

There are consequences to this type of leadership for after a while you have to ask yourself as a citizen following this leader, are we getting anywhere positively or are we just constantly in turmoil? Could there be a better more effective way of leading us through problems or is it necessary to constantly spin us around and "shake us up" all the time?

Miller ran the town for 20 years already. I'm not voting for him again. It seems like we just got rid of him! I wouldn't mind seeing Diane Gilbert on the board again. She's independent and asks plenty of tough questions. I would vote for Diane Gilbert.

Dartmouth would be better off is she moved into the Atkins debaucle so we could get taxes from it rather than putting them into it.

She's not getting my vote.I agree with enlightened.I liked her at first because she seemed like the type that won't take any bull... now I'm sick of seeing her head wave back and forth.
