I cannot believe that when asked about her future, the high school principal basically was proud to state her intention to play the system by retiring here, collecting her full pension, and getting a job in Rhode Island for the remainder of her carreer. If she really cared about the children she would continue here in Dartmouth instead of sticking us with bailing out the state pension fund along with making us pay someone to replace her while she goes to RI in order to double dip.

That did'nt take long.

I notice that the middle school principal has been only here three years. He is from RI. I wonder how long it takes to get a pension from Massachusetts? Any bets on 3 years?

If I were them I'd get the hell out of Dartmouth too. Why stay in a place that clearly places so little value on education? Good luck to all of them as they enter the next phases of their lives - after 30+ years they deserve at least that much.

to stealing...

get a clue fool.Continue in Dartmouth working for 20% of her pay? im sure you would NOT either. She put in 35+ years in education. She's entitled. Nobody ever complains about a 20 year military retirement then right into a gs job but a 35 year veteran retires and she's ripping off the system. Good job deflecting your minions from the real problems Bill

Yes Bill clearly you have enough problems to keep YOUR attention focused on the town side.

THANK YOU Mrs. Dimery for advancing our High School in many ways against a current of ever tightening budgets and ever closing minds. Thank you and good luck, here's hoping your post Dartmouth HS years are enjoyable and fruitful-you will be missed!
An appreciative Dartmouth parent.

How about someone vvolunteering as Athletic Director so we can get a librarian or foreign language teacher, or Tech Director. If this AD or Principal salary goes up and the people permit this stupidity this town is just wrong.
